The WSJ has “broken” a story that involves Donald Trump's lawyer paying an “Adult film actress” over a hundred thousand dollars in some kind of payout. The story has been gleefully picked up by the MSM and they are revelling in this torrid tale. But is it true? And does it actually matter if it is?
The lady in question Ms Daniels (Stormy Daniels) denies anything took place and that a payment occurred. Donald Trump denies it took place, and Trump's former lawyer denies it took place…So where is the WSJ getting their “facts?”
Is this another of their “anonymous source” stories that seem to be destroying their reputation. Basic journalism involves simple research. Either one of the people involved will talk, or there will be court records. If they fail to find either of these, odds are it is nonsense.
Ms Daniels is emphatic about her denial:
“My involvement with Donald Trump was limited to a few public appearances and nothing more,” she wrote in a statement, dated January 10. “When I met Donald Trump, he was gracious, professional and a complete gentleman to me and EVERYONE in my presence. Rumors that I have received hush money from Donald Trump are completely false. If indeed I did have a relationship with Donald Trump, trust me, you wouldn't be reading about in the news, you would be reading about it in my book. But the fact of the matter is, these stories are not true.”
Pretty strong words. Get your act together WSJ…Or are you just another devious SJW?
