The not very popular mayor of New York City De Blasio ordered the police to clear out all homeless people from two subway stations. A shameful act that even will raise some eyebrows in the left-wing. “He gave this order to make sure his four-stop press event would look nice”.
Police officers told the New York Post that the law enforcement officers had until 11 a.m. on Sunday to remove those who were “hanging out” at the Fourth Avenue/Ninth Street and Jay Street/MetroTech F train stations. He clearly instructed that the subway stations would be free and clear of homeless people.
De Blasio was earlier under attack when he left the just executed memorial of Officer Miosotis to go protest in Hamburg with Antifa. Many think he neglected his city’s police officers in order to join the G-20 protesters in Hamburg.
He always claimed he loves the poor but now he is forcing the police to remove all homeless and often helpless people.
Freebeacon reports the following:
Another source put it this way: de Blasio’s office let the police know ahead of time about his schedule “with the expectation that the subway stations would be free and clear of homeless people.” De Blasio’s trip from his Park Slope gym to his new campaign office in Brooklyn was part of a publicity stunt to call out New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo (D.) regarding funding for the city’s transportation system, the Post reported.
“Staten Island Assemblywoman Nicole Malliotakis (R.), the presumptive challenger to de Blasio’s reelection bid this year, ripped her potential opponent as a hypocrite, given his progressive views on income inequality.
“For someone who claims to care about the poorest New Yorkers, to have someone clear his path when he’s about to board the subway … tells you all you need to know about Mayor de Blasio,” she said.”
