We have been fooled too many times in the past to think that an investigation into Hillary Clinton and her (alleged) crimes under the Clinton Foundation might actually happen…But this is it. It's happening right now and is being led by the field office in Arkansas.
Apparently, they are specifically looking into whether any “favors” were done for people or organizations that happen to coincide with donations to the Clinton Foundation. As outlined in the book, Clinton Cash, they are likely to find a few “coincidences,” but we shouldn't get our hopes up too much.
Yes, there is an official investigation underway. But two things are worrying about this.
- This is the same FBI who gave Hillary a free pass on the email scandal and are likely still more pro-Hillary than they should be as a government organization. Anything that isn't 100% provable with no need of further investigation will never make it off their desks. She will always be given “the benefit of the doubt.”
- Could this investigation be happening now because the statute of limitations on federal fraud is only 5 years? Clinton left the State Department in 2013, that means she is pretty much free and clear.
Could the delay in the investigation be part of Clinton's Get Out of Jail Free pact?
