In the latest leftward lean from YouTube (at the behest of their parent company, Google) is to remove videos that relate to firearm and firearm accessories. For at least a year, these types of videos have been demonetized, but now they are going a step further and are about to actually remove the content.
But what companies like Google and YouTube fail to realize, is that they are not the only people who have become tech-savvy. Users who produce gun-related content have other options now, and these are not restricted by leftist political ideology.
Twitter has already seen a backlash against its algorithms that push down conservative content with the arrival of sites like Gab and Codias…These are alternatives that actively encourage free speech and conservative views. There are plenty of video hosting sites that would be more than willing to take on the literally millions of YouTube users who produce and watch gun-related content.
Announcing their new policy against the US Constitution, “Elizabeth” from YouTube sent out a message:
“We’re updating our policies around content featuring firearms as part of the regular changes we make to our policies on an ongoing basis. The updated policies are available in our Help Center today, but the new guidelines won’t go into effect until a month from now. If your channel has firearms-related content, we recommend reviewing the new policies in detail and making any updates before then. There are no changes to our monetization policies for this content.”
In other words: If you believe in the Constitution and the Second Amendment…Move along!
