It has been alleged by a number of students at Stoneman Marjory Douglas highschool (Parkland, the same place as the tragic shooting), that history teacher Gregory Pittman suggested that Kyle Kushev, a Parkland survivor and pro-Second Amendment student, was “the next Hitler.” Let's ignore for just a moment that Kushev himself is Jewish, and perhaps focus on the fact that Hiter DISARMED the population, thus allowing him to commit his atrocities.
Students in the class say they were shocked and dismayed by the teacher's words. Kushev said:
“I find it utterly vile that he’d call a Jew the next Hitler,” “It’s also quite telling that he doesn’t know that Hitler took the people’s weaponry and I want more law-abiding citizens to have firearms.”
Naturally, the school and the unions are backing the teacher. But what if this is actually true? Wouldn't that mean that the history teacher is basically mentally deranged? That he sees someone who is pro 2A as the next Hitler smacks of losing touch with reality.
teachers are great! They do a tough job for very little thanks. But that doesn't mean we shouldn't call them out when they start preaching their anti Constitutional delusions to our children. We send our children to school for education, not indoctrination. It's time to leave personal politics out of the classroom.
