There should be little doubt that the Deep State operatives within the DOJ and FBI are covering for the enormous corruption of the Obama government and other high-level bureaucrats that when exposed would ship the full Washington establishment into a downward spiral from which they would never recover.
However, we had good hopes when Sessions was appointed as AG. Since that time we were waiting for justice to be served on numerous corruption problems from the previous government, but it never happens. No wonder President Trump is really mad at him.
When IT Imran Awan was detained I bet we have all thought that may be the key to unlocking a ton of criminal activity including extortion, blackmail, and violation of the Espionage Act. We have all anticipated Attorney General Jeff Sessions would get justice done, but he never did.
Via National Review: ““To summarize, the indictment is an exercise in omission. No mention of the Awan group’s theft of information from Congress. Not a hint about the astronomical sums the family was paid, much of it for no-show “work.” Not a word about Wasserman Schultz’s keeping Awan on the payroll for six months during which (a) he was known to be under investigation, (b) his wife was known to have fled to Pakistan, and (c) he was not credentialed to do the IT work for which he had been hired. Nothing about Wasserman Schultz’s energetic efforts to prevent investigators from examining Awan’s laptop. A likely currency-transportation offense against Alvi goes uncharged. And, as for the offenses that are charged, prosecutors plead them in a manner that avoids any reference to what should be their best evidence.”
How could a capable U.S. attorney dismiss evidence of suspected blackmail, “given (a) that the staggering amounts of money paid into the Awans over time, (b) that the sensitive congressional communications to which they had access, (c) that the alleged participation of Imran Awan and among his brothers at a blackmail-extortion scheme against their stepmother, and (d) Wasserman Schultz's weeks of shielding Awan and possibly impeding the investigation.”
Banned Information reported: “You may find it enlightening to learn who is in charge of the U.S. attorney’s office that is handling this case. It’s the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Columbia and it is currently under the direction of Channing D. Phillips who is an Obama holdover who was never confirmed.”
Making things even more problematic is that Steven Wasserman, Representative Wasserman Schultz's brother is an assistant lawyer in that office.
Meanwhile, Trump's nominee, Jessie Liu still awaits Senate confirmation. What more proof do you want that Mitch McConnell and the Senate Republicans are part of the problem compared to their dependence on an Obama operative — who they never confirmed — to save them from being implicated in all of this D.C. corruption?”
The holdovers must instantly go. This is just another betrayal of America and further evidence the elite is maintaining a double sided justice system to protect itself. If this is correct, Jeff Sessions must proceed. Sessions has turned his back on the main thing that Republicans wanted to be prosecuted. All the corruption ought to be investigated and prosecuted. Sessions, the American people are disappointed in you and the people of Alabama are extremely upset. Shame on you!!!
