Claims have been made (which are unsubstantiated, please don't forget that these have not been proven) that the Raiders purposely threw the game by allowing their wite quarterback to get sacked multiple times because he refused to take a knee for the national anthem.
The allegations suggest that the Oakland Raiders made a number of moves during the game that effectively stopped star QB Derek Carr from playing at full tilt. If these claims are true, then members of the Raiders illegally and purposefully threw the game.
According to Infowars:
“This is one hell of a scandal with the NFL, could ruin the whole league,” claimed the show before detailing the fact that Carr was sacked two times in a row on the teams second drive and that the teams usually dependable center snapped the ball at the wrong time in three different instances. Extremely capable receivers also made multiple “weird” drops of passes thrown by Carr that T.V. announcers even noted at the time.
A news report from the Armstrong and Getty Radio show reported:
“He wants to stand alone, he can stand alone on the field,” one of the teams offensive lineman said, according to the show's source.
I reiterate, these reports are unconfirmed. But the linemen were either having one of their worst performances, or something was happening. Is it possible that partisan political protest has made it this far into the game that NFL players are now willing to let down their team and their fans to make a point?
