Jack Letts, a British-Canadian man, known to the world as “Jihadi Jack” has had enough of being kept in a Kurdish prison and is begging to be allowed to go “home” to Canada.
Suspected of being an ISIS member (he certainly went out there to fight with ISIS and has become quite infamous), now that he has been caught, he doesn't want to face his punishment. He has said, “I don't mind if they put me in prison, I just want to get out of here.” Well, of course he doesn't mind if he ends up in a British or Candian prison, they are like holiday camps compared to the Kurdish prisons.
Recordings of him show:
“Please get me out of this place, I don't mind if you put me in prison, just get me out of here as soon as possible.”
But the question is, do the Canadian government owe him any allegiance? Jack left his country to go and fight for a group that would see that country's destruction and the deaths of all the “infidels” who live in it…But now he wants help from us?!?!?
Yes, we should be compassionate about any person's suffering, but reaching out and helping him will send a message to any others who are thinking of joining ISIS that “this is a one-way ticket!”
