The New York Times reports that an unidentified FBI asset met with low-level campaign employees in an effort to get “dirt” on the Trump campaign or to investigate Russian collusion. The problem is, it's possible we already know who this “mole” is, and if we are right, it begs a lot of questions about whether this was a sting operation to take then-candidate Trump out of the running.
The Times reports that the asset met with both Carter Page and George Papadopoulos on several occasions. This could refer to almost anyone, but if we look at the ties and the histories of certain people, a deadly story emerges.
One name that keeps popping up is that of Stefan Halper. Halper has worked for three former presidents an has ties to both the CIA (through his father in law and previous work), the British security services MI6, and private spy-for-hire companies through associates who he co-authored books with.
Another name is Professor Joseph Mifsud; a man who has been touted as being an ambassador (but no one knows where to), a professor (but not seemingly employed anywhere, and a man with high-level Russian contacts (although these have turned out to be fake…He allegedly introduced Papadopoulos to Vladimir Putin's niece [she wasn't]). The “professor” has since disappeared.
And Alexander Downer, the Australian ambassador who sat on the board of a spy-for-hire company connected to the case and despite publically severing ties, still attends their get-togethers.
Did these three men, at the behest of the CIA and FBI work to build a narrative of Russian Collusion that would ultimately bring down a president?
