Antifa and BAMN (By Any Means Necessary) activist and leader, Yvette Felarca, has been ordered by the courts to pay out $11,000 to a college Republican after a series of harassment against him that led to her and her lawyer trying to shut him down with frivolous restraining orders.
The idea behind this all was nothing other than to shut down free speech. Felarca and co. were trying to make it so expensive through court cases that people would not bother to fight for their rights. Essentially making free speech a preserve of the wealthy leftists.
Berkeley College Republicans President Troy Worden would not let this slide. He sued Felarca ad her attorney for making claims and asked for damages and fees. He won! The court ruled in his favor and demanded that Felarca pay up.
Worden's lawyer issued a statement:
“Felarca and her fellow travelers in BAMN [By Any Means Necessary]/Antifa need to learn that the California courts are not their personal plaything to use and abuse at will by filing baseless and vexatious lawsuits.”
When free speech is reserved only for those that can afford expensive court cases, or restricted to a “free speech zone” it is no longer “free” speech. It is sanctioned speech, and this goes against everything America stands for.
