Can you imagine a place where they have only experience done murder in the last 6 years? A place where the violent crime rate is less than 2%? It exists! And you know what the big difference is between this idyllic city, and pretty much every other place in America? Each citizen is required by law to possess and maintain a firearm!
Kennesaw Georgia has a 30-year-old law in place the states “every head of household residing in the city limits is required to maintain a firearm.” Now, of course, we can’t put the fact that every household has a gun is the sole reason for such a low violent crime rate, but as Mayor Derek Easterling says:
“If you’re going to commit a crime in Kennesaw and you’re the criminal – are you going to take a chance that that homeowner is a law-abiding citizen?”
A lot of what keeps the city safe is probably due to a close-knit community, the family unit, and respect for your community. And, in fact, the law requiring ownership of a weapon is not actually enforced. How could it be? It would be unconstitutional. As you well know, the only unconstitutional enforcement of mandatory buying was introduced with Obamacare!
The truth is plain to see. In places where there is heavy gun control, crime (especially violent crime) runs rampant, yet in places where guns are encouraged, the opposite is happening. Could someone be lying about what damage guns do to a coherent society?
